I’m going to be creating a primitive player nest soon. Tim had suggested we use some of his artwork that didn’t make the cut to evolution and i really like that.
Check out the attached JPG. The red is how much text i’m going to cut. Here is how i’m planning to move things around.
Condensed worker: Explore, March and Forage will just be words in a box, but still list secondariries. This will create room for two-ish extra tunnel boxes to either created new worker abilities or have space to describe a modified Explore, March, Forage.
Condensed Phase Descriptions: Queen, soldier, slumber will just be words in a single box (the current solder phase). This will open up the old queen box for any new or modified abilites that happen during soldier, queen or slumber. The old slumber box will be a space for a taste of flavor text.
what about the caste bonuses: we can shrink the words a little but what are we goign to put down here other than a modified caste bonus.
So the design spaces we should fit the primitive ants into are:
different versions of the regular actions (can these have different secondaries for other players?)
different effects during soldier, queen or slumber phase
different caste bonues
