I think the new way that we should handle three way battles is that if a player has a battle count of more than 8 (ant count + battle bangs+ soldier bonus) they choose a player to remove 1 ant from the hex, per battle count(point?) beyond 8, AFTER other effects are determined.
So if Player A has a count of 9, player B has 10 and player C has 3, after the battle is resolved player A could tell B or C to remove 1 (B and C choose which ant to remove), and then player B can tell A or C to remove 2 ants (again their choice). Eh? That way piling on more than 8 ants is relevant without the crazy math i had before.
