Little Pig Rules and Turn Order
1. Reveal resource card and add resources to pool
2. Players choose which gather card.
3. Reveal Wolf card and gather cards.
Resolve Wolf – no pigs, wolf stays – one pig, wolf takes half resources and goes to corresponding hunger pile – two or more pigs, wolf is discarded.
Resolve Gather – In Straw, Wood, Brick order players collect resources. Resources are divided equally among all pigs present in each area. Extra resources are left.
4. Building – In same order as gather pigs take any two of the following actions: Build house or special card, gain one resource that they have not collected this turn.
I want to Scaffold LIL pig so it reads more like a childs store with a setup, conflict and resolution. It would read like a weird fairy tail with sometimes Goldie Locks saving the day and other times the wolves eat everyone. eh?
Yeah I am down with trying to scaffold Little Pig with the same caveats that I don’t want it to be boring but I think the weird children’s story could be a neat set=up. I think the key is to make the slow build of set-up and learn, actually fun and interesting part of the game. I am working on a huge redux – eliminating the board and reducing post gather options so as to simplify the game. Still don’t think it will be young kid friendly but maybe 8 or 10 up. Yeah little pig forum is on the rise, watch yaself!
